All of us can JOIN THE MOVEMENT. All of us can create a world free of MS. All of us WILL!
We can’t do this without you. Sign up to volunteer today!
The success of any Bike MS Ride is directly related to the wonderful volunteers who help make the event go off without a hitch. We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills. There is only one requirement: to want to see a world free of MS. There are many jobs to choose from including registration, rest stop help, route marking, and cheering at the finish line!
Sign up to VOLUNTEER today!
Bike MS Committee is perhaps one of the most vital volunteer roles at Bike MS! Without dedicated and passionate committee members, Bike MS would not be the event it is today. Looking to build your resume? Utilize your planning skills in your local community? Or just have some fun? Join us. The committee meets monthly and is the backbone of Bike MS!
Day Of Event Volunteer Positions
Event Setup volunteers will help unpack event supplies and setup tents, tables and chairs at the Start, Overnight and Finish venues (lifting involved).
Route Support volunteers play a vital role in the Bike MS. We need help marking the route with signage, SAG vehicle drivers and road marshals.
Parking volunteers will be scheduled in pairs to direct traffic in the parking areas. Safety vests and flags will be provided and must be used during shift. Specific instructions will be given so as to alert you to alternate parking areas, special vehicles, etc.
Registration volunteers will check-in registered riders, registered walk-on participants and collect and count donations.
Rest Stop volunteers will do everything from setting up the rest stop area to distributing food and beverage to the riders and cheering them on as they come into the rest stop. We also ask that rest stop volunteers break down their area as the event comes to an end. We encourage volunteers to pick a theme and make each rest stop an energizing place!!
Finish Line volunteers assist with various tasks including checking in and cheering on riders as they approach the finish, thanking them for riding and directing participants to the food/water areas.
Food Service volunteers will help setup the food service areas, and handout food and beverages to the participants and volunteers before, during and after Bike MS.
Event Clean Up volunteers will help clean-up the various event sites, pack supplies and reload trucks (lifting involved).
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Bike MS 2010, we hope to see to you there! If you have questions, you can contact Kristin Darrow at 502-451-0014 ext. 222.
