- What are the dates of Bike MS 2010?

Where will Bike MS 2010 be located? Bike MS 2009 will start at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY; will overnight at Salato Wildlife Center in Frankfort, KY and will finish at Keeneland in Lexington, KY.

How do I register for Bike MS 2010?

What is the minimum age a person must be to participate in Bike MS? All riders at Bike MS must be 12 years old or older to participate in Bike MS. They will need to have a waiver with a parent/guardian's signature and it must be notarized by the day of the ride in order to participate.

How do I turn in donations made by cash or check?Mail or drop off your donations at the chapter office: National MS Society 11700 Commonwealth Drive, Ste. 500, Louisville, KY 40299 *Checks should be made out to the National MS Society. Please put your name on the memo line of each check. If you are planning on entering your checks into your Participant Center before mailing them in, please reference our Entering Checks Offline information sheet.

What is the pledge deadline for Bike MS 2010? All donations must be turned in 30 days after the ride in order to be eligible for prizes.

What if my donor needs a receipt?Donations of $250+ will receive a thank you letter from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society that can be used for tax purposes. For donations under $250, the IRS does not require a receipt but encourage donors to keep a copy of their cancelled check or the e-pledge confirmation (email) for an online donation. You can also download a Bike MS receipt for your donors. Our Tax ID number is 61-0702202 -
Why form a team?It only takes one person to inspire hundreds- that's the idea behind Teams. Forming a team brings together your family, friends and co-workers for a weekend of fun, fitness and entertainment. Teams may qualify for great team prizes! If you need additional information about teams, or want a representative from the National MS Society to come talk to your group, company or organization, please email us or call 1-800-873-6367, press 2 then extension 222. -
What support will be on the route? There will be rest stops every 10 to 12 miles each day and support vehicles equipped with first aid and mechanical support will be on the route at all times. If you need assistance, let a volunteer know and they will find someone to help you.

My spouse/co-worker/family member doesn't ride but wants to come support me at the event, what can they do?

- I forgot my Username and Password.
Remember that your username and password are case sensitive. Click here to find your password. You will receive an e-mail with your username and password. If you still have problems, please email or contact us at 1-800-873-6367, press 2 then extension 231.
Note: If you have a Username/Password for the old system, it was carried over to the new system. However, any capital letters are now lower case & if there were any spaces, the spaces have been removed. For example password John Smith would now be johnsmith.
- How do I change my Username and/or Password?
First, login to the site using your username and password. Once logged in you will see a link at the top of the page called "Update My Profile." Once in your profile, you will be able to change your contact information, e-mail address, username and password. All changes will be made to your account immediately. There is no need to sign in again.
- How do I unsubscribe from e-mail?
Towards the bottom of each e-mail message there is a link stating, "Click Here to Unsubscribe from this E-mail Message." Click this link and follow the instructions given to unsubscribe. NOTE: Almost all Bike MS communication is held through e-mail, so if you are a Team Captain, please consider carefully before unsubscribing. If you are a team member who decides to unsubscribe from e-mails, please check in with your Team Captain regularly for event updates!

- What is a Personal Page?
A personal page is an online promotional tool for your use when asking your friends and family to join your team or sponsor you by making a donation. Once you sign up for an event online, by default, you will have a personal page created for you. You have the option of personalizing this page by going to your bike center. You will be able to customize images, text and the style/color layout of the page.
- By default I have a personal page, do I have to change it?
Once you sign up for an event online, by default, you will have a personal page created for you. A compelling personal page attracts and engages supporters. While you can spread the word using customized e-mail solicitations, your personal campaign page can be your own creative expression of your commitment to the cause. Customize your page by selecting the layout and style that work best for you. Utilize the elements of text, photo and status indicators to their fullest advantage.
- How do I change my personal fundraising goal?
First, you will need to login to your Bike Center. On the bottom right side of the Bike Center home page is the location to modify your personal fundraising goal. Enter your new goal and submit the changes.
- How do I change my team name, team division or team goal?
Only the team captain has the ability to change the team name or team division. The team captain will need to login to his/her bike center and click the "My Team Progress" button on the top right. On the Team Progress page, team captains will have the ability to update the team name, division and goal.
- How can I see who has donated to me?
Login to the site using your Username and Password. Go to your Bike Center and click the "My Progress" tab; this will allow you to view your donor list and any amounts having been donated.
- How can I see who is on my team?
Login to the site using your Username and Password. Go to your Bike Center and click the "Team Progress" tab; this will allow you to view your team roster and the amounts raised by each team member.
- What is a team message?
Simply go to your Bike Center and click the "Update Message to Team" button. This will allow you to make all necessary changes to your team message.
- What is the difference between making my personal page private or public?
By default, a personal page is Public, meaning your name will appear in the participant search list, and anyone accessing the site will be able to support you. Setting your personal page to Private means your name will not appear in the participant search list, and only people you personally invite will be able to support you.
